layering patterns 101

permafrost.

I'm craving holographic lame(law-mey), rich knits, opulent diamonds, frosted metals, fringe, and fur. Winter is a wonderland and dressing for it should mean exuding a sense of mysticism. Pairing unusual pieces like a lame skirt with basic striped pullover and fringed suede boots can give you that cool mystique without being too dramatic. Layer on some fur and a beanie, and you're ready for the Northern Downpour.

trend report: brogues

trend report: broguesBrogues, better known as Oxfords, have been on the style scene for quite a while. Every season, they continue to evolve and modernize. We've seen them in neutral leather tones, but now you can find them in fluorescents, patent leathers, patterns, metallics, and even in sequins. You don't need to break the bank either to take a step in these bad boys. Stores all over like American Eagle, Forever XXI, and Urban Outfitters are known to have more than a few with your name written all over them. Stay tuned for ways to sport those Brogues...
